i've been involved in a billing dispute with spectrum, the internet and phone "provider," with regard to payments due in january and february of 2023.
as to the january payment, my digital bank records show a payment to them on the 9th of the month, paid by my debit card. in other words, my bank's account was debited for a payment to spectrum. by their corporate name. spectrum refuses to acknowledge that the payment was ever made. as to february, my billing statement arrived by the u.s. post on 01.30.2023, and was honored and in the post by 3.00 pm or so the same day. the payment, by bank check, included the january payment alleged to be in arrears (debited from my account on 1-9-2023) and the february payment for the current month.
(in case you are counting along with me, that's three monthly payments in two months. january, january and february ... three months, paid. in full.)
today, by cell phone text, i got a statement from spectrum showing me in arrears on both payments, and demanding immediate payment. and, it was not a polite "request."
i took the letter to the local spectrum office in walla walla, washington. they said wait a couple of days. that's it, wait a couple days.
that's it. i am going to get another "provider," hopefully one that provides service in addition to taking money. and, if "spectrum" does not honor my payments, and pay me back for the extra month they have billed me, i am gonna sue the .... well, insert any word you feel appropriate.
spectrum and i are quits. period.
my advice to you would be to avoid them like the plague.
