the author concludes that gun deaths are a rather minuscule contributor to deaths (and death rates) in the usa, and that assault weapons make a very small contribution to these figures.  he does not see regulation of assault weapons as being much of a factor in changing this, if at all.

it is an interesting read, and how it ever got published by msn is a mystery to me.   it is definitely not your usual leftist/progressive hit piece on weapons.  "just the facts ma'am, just the facts."
