72-degrees f. here, at 9.05 a.m. it feels just like the middle of winter, i may have to turn on some heat. laughing.
i am 73 years old. (none of that "73-years young" from this trooper.) every now and again it gets hotter than hell here in the summer, and this is one of those summers. when i was 17 or 18 we had a summer like this, and i seem to recall a 10 or 12 day stretch where it did not go below 100 to 105-degrees f., and a four day stretch where it stayed above 100 degrees all night long. (that recollection may be gilded a bit, such are the vagaries of memories, but it was hotter than hell!!)
these things come and go. back then we didn't have "global warming," and i am a bit skeptical that we do these days. we'll know in a century or two, i am pretty certain.

p.s. mark matis will write, and tell me that i am a racist for saying that. laughing. such are the burdens of fame. laughing hilariously.
Not "racist" for that. Merely a "denier".

laughing.
when the common law began developing, it was not at all, all encompassing, and the crown involved itself in only a limited number and type of conflicts. to be the beneficiary of this exercise of power, writes were filed into and issued from pigeon holes.
this contemporary penchant for descriptive phrases, and the approval and opprobrium flowing from them, kind of breaks down attitudes and social authority into an appeal to various pigeon holes of opinion ..... and, as more and more descriptors issue forth, and absolute confusion of ideas, opinion and epithets.
it is marvelous good fun in one sense. absolute and utter nonsense in another.
denier revisionist racist
i suspect it shall shamble along in a confused manner for some time now. i see no immediate relief, no turn to good sense or sense of proportion any time soon.
merry minuet, the kingston trio, by sheldon harnick --
Theyre rioting in Africa. Theyre starving in Spain. Theres hurricanes in Florida and Texas needs rain.
The whole world is festering with unhappy souls. The French hate the Germans. The Germans hate the Poles.
Italians hate Yugoslavs. South Africans hate the Dutch and I dont like anybody very much!
But we can be tranquil and thankful and proud for mans been endowed with a mushroom shaped cloud.
And we know for certain that some lovely day someone will set the spark off and we will all be blown away.
Theyre rioting in Africa. Theres strife in Iran. What nature doesnt do to us will be done by our fellow man.

John,
I am a proud denier and a "common sensor." I laugh every time I hear one of the news readers talk about Hurricane SEASON coming up. I have lived through many hurricanes and they all were pretty much alike. Some more destructive than others. It gets hotter than hell here. August is the worst month. "Here" is Southeast Texas.
Great choice of songs by the Trio

So, Mark is a believer is "climate change." Does he then blame forest fires for how they have caused atmospheric influence to produce smokey skies?
