1.) use your head about yard work. if you have a bad ticker, pay someone else to do it, when it is hot.
2.) drink plenty of non-alcoholic and non-sugared fluids .... water is best. consume plenty of plain old salt, and salts like magnesium oxide and that sort of thing. take a good multi-vitamin w/ meals. my heart experiences far fewer of little episodes of "irregularity" and "skipped beats" if i have sufficient salts, (and vitamins), especially when it is hot. it is conducive to better sleep to have "things nice and steady."
3.) don't overdo it, but, eat some veggies ever now and again. (and, other things w/ dietary fiber.) it cannot hurt. (and, it helps you have nice and regular poops. dying while straining on the pot is a particularly stupid way to die, i should think .... i've never done it, mind you, but the idea of it has very little appeal to me. to each his own, i guess.)
4.) "don't worry, be happy." have a sense of proportion. no matter where you are, and your station in life, if you live in these united states of america in this epoch, you are among the very most favored of human beings to ever exist, .... , period, .... , in the entire history of the species. and, i mean from the dawn of things, before clothes, ....., and, to include emperors & rulers & conquerors from our storied past. so, don't sweat the small stuff, and enjoy the wonders of it all.*** wherever you are, whoever you are, and whatever you are.

p.s. and, yes, joe biden is still a shithead, and "the steal" was a steal. truth is still truth. have faith, these things shall be redressed. and, addressed.
*** last night i watched the men's 400 meter hurdles finals at the 2021 olympic games, and watched rai benjamin of the u.s.a. finish second behind karsten warholm of norway and in front of alison dos santos of brazil, as all three of them bested the existing world's record for the event. benjamin was interviewed afterwards, and shrugged his shoulders about the result, eloquently saying with the gesture, whadda ya gonna do? he also said, i did the best i could do.
and, then he added, the world's are coming up next, and we'll go at it again. that is the spirit that exemplifies the best of sport. and, of humanity, and a proper approach to the spirit of life. there is always a next time, the adventure continues.
