a limb fell off of a tree in pioneer park.  (with photo.)  well, it was a very well known tree limb.

i am not making this up.  the event was front page news.

i would not trade where i live with where you live, not for all the rice in china.  (we still talk like this where i live, which is another reason i would not trade my town with your town, not for all the rice in china.)

p.s.   the trouble with this idyllic setting is that milton freewater, is in oregon where a fairly sizable portion of the lefty idiots in the world reside, in portland and eugene.  to further exacerbate the problem, walla walla (home of the tree) is in the thrall of seattle, where the rest of the world's idiots seem to reside, as evidenced by governor jay inslee, who is running for president on the killer whale ticket.  i am not bragging or anything, but california has not got anything in comparison to oregon and washington.

the key problem, as i see it, is how to put seattle and portland into about 600 feet (of depth) of the pacific ocean, where they belong, so that our little towns would no be controlled by the cupidity and idiocy of the big city snowflakes.  to wit, the seattle city council in order to stay in the advance vanguards of world liberalism has recently decreed that 30% of city employees shall henceforth come from the ranks of the unemployed.  (and, unemployable.  now, that would be a conundrum, because once hired, they would be unemployable, again.  at least in the city of seattle.)

(seems to me, that logic compels that, somehow.)  well, ttfn, because i am getting a migraine.

just so there is no doubt as to where her heart is angela merkle had a reception for the idiot obama in the german chancellery.   quite chummy.

obama still thinks he is president, and he would like to be once again.

any doubt in your mind whether obama was behind the deep state's coup attempt.   obama, and the bitch.   no doubt in my mind, at all.

the remington-lee bolt actions, and the u.s. army ....

james paris lee and remington arms tried to interest the u.s. army (and navy) in adopting the remington-lee rifle, which was adopted by the british in the late 1880's.   it is curious why the united states military was not interested in the remington-lee as it was a very advanced design, one not clearly eclipsed by the mauser series until 1898.   even today, arguments rage between several camps as to which was the better service rifle, the lee-enfield or the 98 mauser ....  both had many virtues, and neither had overly serious flaws.

the remington-lee, however, was a far better rifle than the krag-jorgensen which the army adopted in the early 1890's: not a bad rifle, not a great rifle, but a good rifle, ... , and, not the equal of the remington-lee or the mauser and its derivatives.  nor the equal of the 1903 springfield in .30-06.

who knows?    oddly enough, as between the lee-enfield, the mauser and the 1903 springfield inspired by the mauser, i would personally like to have a genuine krag carbine in .30-40 krag.  (that, or a swedish mauser carbine in 6.5x55 swedish.)

go figure.

but, the point is this.   at the time the american military establishment turned its collective noses at the remington-lee it was quite probably the most advanced bolt action rifle in the world, backed by one of the largest and most experienced producers of military rifles in the world.     it is very hard to understand.

the dimmies go w/ kamala harris in 2020 .... you read it here ....

if you ask me, or if you don't ask me, i think the dimmies will go w/ kamala harris in 2020.   she's tooled up, looks plenty organized, and seems pretty tuned in on the landscape of mantras that resounds so well w/ the various groups of snowflakes out there.  and, travels well amid of the landscape of special interests that a dimmee has to negotiate to be successful.   she's got all the demographics covered, and seems capable of speaking without cue cards, and can say nothing at the drop of a hat.

head and shoulders above the rest of the competition, such as it is, among her fellow dims.  i think she destroys biden, and hillary, and makes jay inslee from washington state look the provincial boob.

we'll see.
