summer patriot, winter soldier: September 2017

it is an interesting game that trump plays, and i believe he's winning .... eliminating the leadership of the left/liberals ....

trump goads the left at every turn. he does so with absolutely no risk of loosing his base of support: if they are like me, they enjoy watching him twist their noses. he supports middle america's values at every turn, and middle american's like me love him for it.

go, donald!! as it were.

the traditional demo leaders, such as pelosi and her ilk, are taken in by this, and respond with hatred, vitriol and contempt.

but, the odd thing is, they don't seem to engender the support and "love" of their following, who chastise them and threaten them, because they will not and probably cannot go further to the left, as the lunatic fringe of the demo "constituency" demands. the trouble is, the demo's realize that in building their coalition of radical constituencies, they have no base that believes in traditional american values .... family, church, country and flag.

the only dems "available" to the demo lunatic left are the likes of keith ellison and howard dean, and perhaps rahm emanuel (who appears more an opportunist than a genuine ideologue.) and, most likely, a host of college professors who instigate from the sinecure of the college campus, but, who do not "travel well" in public, as the old theatrical saying goes: the silly bastards will not leave the safety and comfort of the campus for the real world. count on it.

so, rise to the bait, nancy pelosi .... and be publicly castigated by your "supporters" for not going far enough. but, go far enough "outside the box" to please them, and continue to get lambasted at the polling booths. and, you can be sure, that the professional demo pols are watching closely as "mainstream" republicans are getting tromped .... or, is it "trumped" by trump partisans .... in special elections all over the country.

so, trump keeps acting in a manner incomprehensible to the demos and the liberal talking heads, and benefiting from it, to the consternation of those who think they still run things.

stay tuned. we'll see how it all turns out.

what really happened to hillary clinton during the election ....

in short, it is the old adage that familiarity breeds contempt. the public has just seen enough of her to understand, with clarity, certain things.--

1.)she is a thoroughly deranged personality. crazy as a rabid bat.

2.)she and husband bill have been on a spree of corrupt influence peddling and bribe taking the likes of which have not been seen since boss tweed and the corruption of tammany hall. they have amassed millions, while earning absolutely none of it.

she has been such a public figure, and paraded her faults to such a degree, that they can simply no longer be hidden. i have often said of obama that he was a suit of clothes with no emperor underneath. well, hillary is truly the would be emperor who no longer has any clothes to hide behind.

the people saw her. for what she is. and, they did not like it. simple as that.

"hurricane hyperbole" ravaged the coast of credulity, and then mysteriously disappeared ....

hurricane irma did not live up to her advance billing, thank the good lord. it missed miami with the full brunt of her power, whacked the florida keys plenty good (but we've not seen any of that)***, and then meandered up the west coast of florida loosing the power of her winds and descending from a "5" level to a "1" level in pretty quick order, even as one brave soul of a reporter predicted a 14 foot tidal surge for the naples, florida area yet to come.

when i tuned in for the breathless news this morning, i got nothing but copper frying pans and a network program on grocery shopping.

the "news" dropped irma like a hot rock, like a pair of old stinking socks.

and, voila, irma just mysteriously disappeared. if a hurricane drops a foot of rain in the georgia pine bottoms, but no reporter is there to gush over it, does that means it never happened? never to be referred to again as a "monster," i would suppose. in actual fact, i suppose no one need remind the news that in their hurry to be out front and get the scoop, they ended up reporting an event that never happened. just like hillary's "election."

*** the florida keys got hit the hardest, and probably ended up being the place in the greatest actual danger. i would suppose, when all is said in done, if there were any great loss of life to irma in the u.s. it would have happened in the keys. (we'll know in a couple days, when people on the scene take stock ... just like it was done in the old days.)

that would also explain quite nicely the relative absence of reporters on the scene, and the relative absence of news from the keys.

"hurricane hyperbole" .... the media clones strike again ....

i do not mean to demean the genuine hardship suffered by gulf coast americans during this onslaught of tropical storms and hurricanes they have suffered. the storms have inflicted tremendous property damage and interrupted lives and the conduct of business and enterprise. wind and flood water have threatened, taken and disrupted lives.

the hurricanes have other victims, and they are truth and integrity, in the form of a incessant din of "fake news" broadcasts by the media. the media do not report what the storms have done, rather they shout and exaggerate what the storms might do, instilling fear and apprehension. they do not report, they shout predictions, and talk of 165 mile an hour winds ripping through miami, and 14 feet high tidal surges to follow the path of devastation wrought by the winds.

by the grace of god, the storms have not so far wrought that which has been breathlessly anticipated by reporter wanting to cut their chops on the reportage of disaster ... rather than waiting for it, as even the least decorous vulture does, they dine on the fear mongering of anticipation.

i do not denigrate the damage these storms might yet actually do in fact. there are many hours left for people to endure in texas and florida, and georgia and even mississippi & alabama are exposed to danger. but, if the storm lashes them before it looses strength, our fellow citizens will bear up, and rebuild, and live and prosper.

they will recover.

will truth and integrity fare so well?

this "storm reporting," this "hurricane hyperbole", is but a continuation of media conduct in the reporting of our domestic politics. it is a situation in which reporters fabricate and falsify at the very worst, and simply babble speculation and conjecture, instead of reporting the facts.

we are told things as though established fact, and that fact does not in fact materialize in the cold reality of a rain lashed dawn. to add insult to injury, the true events never are reported, to be passed over for speculation on new horrors yet to occur on this or that town still up the coast.

honesty & truth as casualties of this self aggrandizing posturing, where reportage consists of standing in the wind and rain, and blathering, instead of reporting on what has happened.

and, when the dawn reveals the reckless exaggeration, is there any recanting of the carny barker & shill's "reporting." there is not. not one person is at had to explain why the 14' storm surge has not materialized, why the breathless reporting of death tolls sure to set modern records has not happened.

i hope and pray it does not. that would be a tragedy of great proportion. and, if it does not, i share the relief of those who have suffered genuine loss and endured much hardship.

but, what are we to do about these posturing idiots who do not report news, but who shill headlines as shamelessly as those promising never to appear miracle cures, and sure fire weight loss regimens, and who sell love by the completion of a questionnaire taken over the net?

they cheapen public life while posturing as public servants. they simply scramble their way up the public apparatus, modern day soothsayers in the stead of purveyors of public knowledge. they are phonies. and, they cheapen our lives.
