a friend sent me a copy of a blog post, detailing the federal government's use of paid informants to infiltrate the group that occupied an abandoned building at the malheur national wildlife refuge in southwest oregon. transcripts from the recent trial in portland, oregon of several of the "occupiers" indicate that as many as 16 informants were keeping the government apprised of what the group was up to.

what i have been suffering from the past week or so is a gout attack. just to be clear.
i may not be very smart, but, i try to keep some things straight. and, i am sorry if you picture north eastern oregon populated by roving bands of goats setting upon poor unsuspecting bloggers, and chewing on their feet until they say "ouch." "i give."
portland, oregon has rioters. but, no bands of rogue goats. laughing.
this is what a goat gout attack looks like, as illustrated by a right foot swollen and the big toe joint beet red, and a more or less normal left foot not afflicted by goat gout. i'd recommend that you not get goat gout. laughing. i'd also recommend that you win $300 million in the lotta next week. i'd laugh some more, but, it hurts.
the foot is swollen so much that the nerves near the ankle as very sore.
it's just after midnight, and i will be up all night with the damned thing. and, since it is saturday, unless i go into the hospital emergency room for some pain med, i'll probably be up all night tomorrow night. it is hard to sleep when you are experiencing a goat gout attack as severe as this one.
it didn't start that way.
i was scheduled to see my doctor on the preceding tuesday, but i got a call from the clinic telling me that he was ill and would not be in. so, they wanted me to reschedule. i told them i did not want to reschedule, as i was having a goat gout attack .... for which the good doctor and a very able physician's assistant have/had both prescribed pain meds and meds to alleviate symptoms and pain. hey, take off you socks, show 'em you feet, they feel em for elevated temperature, and when they find it they say, does it hurt, you say, like hell, and they laugh and prescribe the meds. [update: maybe this is where the problem lay: did i say "gout attack" or "goat attack?" laughing.]
i've had the attacks before. they've taken care of them.
the lady scheduling the next appointment had obviously been told to "reschedule," and "don't argue, reschedule." she was in no mode to get me in on the same day as the previously scheduled appointment, and scheduled me for next monday. she did say, you can use our walk in clinic without an appointment, but, i wanted to see my docs.
use the walk in. it is now the weekend, this thing has taken off from being "uncomfortable" to "hurts like hell," with a rocket.
such is life. such are receptionists.
update on gout attack, 11.23.2016. well, life goes along. i have been to the docs, gotten prescribed some colchicine, and it is providing some relief. at least i can sleep at night. still in all, it is best if i don't do very much. i thought that i would provide some more pictures to show you how fully involved my poor old foot is with the inflammation. pretty self explanatory.
yes, it still hurts, but with the relief of symptoms to the big toe area it is bearable. and, i am making progress, bit by bit. comments by uncle kenny and paul albers, below, are worth reading.
and, no, i haven't been accosted by any goats in the past several days. laughing. end update.
in addition, don't use aspirin if you like it, for goat gout relief. it just tends to make it worse, and elevate the level of uric acid in your blood. i'd forgotten that, until i looked it up just now, and i am pretty certain both the docs and the pharmacist had told me that. the receptionist scheduling the appointment did not know that. laughing. if she'd known, she be a doc or a pharmacist, now, wouldn't she. and, if she did know, she's not in the business of dispensing medical advice.
update, 11.30.2016 . i have my foot back. it has reappeared. the gout attack seems to be running its course. the foot is back to its normal size, i am not experiencing pain of any note but some ocassional tingling. (not the chris matthew's variety.) i'll take a picture this evening, and insert here.
caption: it may not look like much to you, but, i have my foot back. the right foot was the one that was gouty, and it is more or less back to normal. some tingling. i'll resume colchicine for another couple days in the morning, but, i should be over the worst of it. yahoo!!
but, you can see the foot w/ blood vessels, tendons and "full length toes," largely free of swelling and pain. the redness is just a remnant. i'll stop taking the colchicine, and anticipate getting bowel control back again. thank the good lord for that. end update.
docs get sick. clinics know this. so do hospitals. (know this, not "get sick.") they should anticipate such things, and account for them, by getting additional personnel to cover for ill doctors. simple as that. and, right now, i don't have much sympathy for the inadequacies of the clinic's "planning:" my candid opinion, no doubt influenced by a suitable level of pain, is that the clinics planning was just shitty.

the poor millennials, or snowflakes as anne coulter calls 'em, have had a pretty stiff dose of reality lately to which they have not reacted well. so, a more prudent and far nicer person than myself would hesitate to feed them another fact of life, but i jump in where only the malevolent dare go.
i think it high time that the tender little dears learn what a "useful idiot" is.
i suggest they lay in a gallon of chocolate milk and a big five pound bag of ginger snaps, get a nice comfy stuffed chair with big stuffed arms, a nice blankie, maybe the one they slept in, and maybe have they mama's tuck it in under their little double chins, and read "american gods" by neil gaiman.
just read and nap, and snuggle in where it is warm, like the womb's they so reluctantly departed, and to which they so desperately cling. and, let the book carry them, being careful not to think too much, which is a talent they have nurtured as they have been nurtured.

for you see, they thought the election of obama and the sweep of democratic victory 8 years ago had truly ushered in the marxist-leninist socialist millennium in american history. and, being the good little socialist progressives that they are, they thought that not only had obama "hoped and changed" things, but that socialist rule had been institutionalized and made permanent. the believed that epoch after shameful epic of racism and cultural ethnocentralism, and capitalist exploitation of the third world had been destroyed forever, and that socialism was established irrevocably in america. in short, they believed they had "transformed" things, and that it would be their role to lead further transformation. their right.
that the old dead white men had been defeated, turned under for good, never to rise again, and that goodness and light would spread over the land, heralded, well, by themselves. sure, righteous, and good.
now they stand transformed before us, shrill, hysterical, profane, enraged, and betrayed by their own hubris. (they don't get any of this, by the way .... smug, self contentment and confidence in the right of ones own self to rule, and mock lessors, does not lead much to introspection and self examination. not much at all, especially to dealing with failure and disappointment.)
what they viewed as their rightful destiny to rule and usher in an age of coca cola happiness lies tattered at their feet.
that is why they are so enraged. the bitter realization, in their little minds, that the forces of darkness still prevails has rendered them impotent before, ... , well, ... , him. he is the antithesis of the slender androgynous male they have come to idealize and worship, ... , so, so, so un-keneau reeves as to defy description.
and, all those nasty components about america their professors have railed about, the exploitation of people of color, the racism personal, legal and institutional, the bigotry, the social injustice, the mistreatment of minorities of all stripes, the wage slavery, the small mindedness and prejudice, the petty small minds, all of it has revealed its leering face where only visions of sugar plums & fairies were before.
they are not privileged. they are not large. they are not brilliant. they are not destiny's children. they are cold, wet, shivering, huddling, crying, bawling, swearing little naifs and waifs in a hostile world not their making, a hostile world they thought transformed into an historical vestige which they had conquered & buried, and a world lay before them over which it was their privilege and right to govern.

in short, the lumpen proletariat, a/k/a the "deplorable" proletariat just rose up & knocked them ass over tea kettle from their position in the vanguard of progress: no one ever told the privileged little goobers that such could happen. but, it did. and, they are outraged by their reversal.

google and facebook, e.g., are worried that people might read a version of events, facts and truthes that is published by someone other than themselves. in other words, they are trying like crazy to retain their monopolies on certain forms of expression, news gather and news dissemination.
they didn't like it very damned much when hillary clinton and the leftist agenda went down in flames just a week ago. so, they are doing what they can to damage the ability of blogs and facebook to spread a word different from those.
in so doing, they want to protect "legitimate news outlets" by restricting the ability of "illegitimate" news sources, in their view of the world, to have any influence.

sirs: what is a "legitmate news outlet?" the nyt's? the wa po? those "legitimate news outlets" worked hand in glove w/ the clinton campaign to get hillary clinton elected, and in doing so, suppressed news stories and accounts of clinton that were negative, while attacking trump at every turn. the times and the post, for instance, did not report on the clinton's scandels involving the carribbean charities, nor on the problems regarding their association with a woman accused of child abduction in haiti. those "legitimate news outlets," like abc and nbc who colluded with the democratic national committee to feed hillary clinton likely questions at the debates? who reviewed news stories written by reporters and editors prior to publication, to make sure that the stories didn't reflect poorly on clinton? those "legitimate news outlets," is that what we are talking about? it is a sad commentary when the national enquirer tabloid reports the news more accurately than the "legitimate news outlests." for instance, in 2012 the times and the wa po covered the fact that clinton suffered a thrombosis of the right transverse sinus/vein in her brain .... a bleed and a blockage which nearly killed her, and took 6 months to get well. but, this year, when she fell & collapsed fleeing from the 911 ceremony in manhattan, not a whisper of that history of illness, and the thing was passed off as pnemonia. in the opinion of most, this was utter bullshit. she has/had severe neurological illnesses obvious to anyone, .... , crossed eyes, blue glasses, anyone, .... , yet the "legitimate news outlets connived w/ the clinton campaign to suppress the news. let's be honest for a while. just for ten seconds. you might find it a refreshing experience.--

as tough and smart a campaign as hillary clinton ran, she beat herself, by bad judgment and greed.
as to the greed, it was simply accepting the continuing contributions to the various clinton trust as the campaign wore on, especially donations from arab countries and princes that were patently influence peddling. you may be very surprised to know, by contrast, that during that period i received not one $1 million contribution to my accounts. odd, that, given the number that she received.
hillary apparently never heard of the old saying about appearing to be more above board than ceaser's wife. oh, well.
one indication of hillary's bad judgment was that she chose chumps, and thugs, and thieves to run her campaign. john and tony podesta are crooks, and they are crooks with ties to russian crooks, and anyone who has a brain in his or her head knows it. i live a nice bucolic existence in milton freewater, oregon, and yes, i watch the cows and chickens grow in the near by farms, and in my neighbor's back lawns, as they like fresh eggs. i stopped to talk to a neighbor the other day who was loading pumpkins into his pickup, and they were for his boar hog and sows & litters a couple miles away. he will slaughter here in a little bit. one of my neighbors runs an illegal car salvage operation out of his girlfriend's garage.
that's bucolic i think, the only thing that would make me pure blood bucolic would be to have a pasture with a couple beefs in it, and to sit out and watch them eat all day. eh?
and, i know about the podesta's. look up money laundering, bank accounts in the caribbean, and the little adventure w/ marina abramovic, and you can get the general picture. hillary chose to go with these clowns.
and, finally, the biggest blunder of all. (well, not the biggest, i'll save that for last. this will be the 2nd biggest blunder, plenty enough to be no. 1 for most people, but, hillary is hillary. when she does something, she does it up jake, as we say in these parts.)
hillary clinton contributed to her own defeat by believing the polls she's had rigged to favor her for the past year and a half. put briefly, the genius podesta instructed his various pollsters, some owned outright by hillary & minions, others just on the take to do as instructed, to put about a 6 to 7% bias in their sampling techniques .... so that hillary would always have a 6 to 7% lead. always.
for instance, the wanted hillary to be ahead in the single hispanic male category. and, to insure that that always happened, some of the pollsters made as many as 300 phone calls to males "so situated," just to get an answer that one of them intended to vote for hillary.
well, that's not science. that's propaganda.
only at the last, when they belatedly realized that the polls and the turnout weren't going to provide the end result desired, that being the suppression of republican votes for trump, did they turn to their last line of defense, and that is tampering with the vote and outright voter fraud.
they kicked it into gear far too late, and far too late to get predictable results. in chicago, and other rust belt states, they put goons at the entrance of the polling places. little old ladies and little old men, the targets of these goons, forced their way by. in wisconsin, with trump showing strong all over the state, wayne county went silent for about 3 hours, as the clinton campaign tried to stuff the ballots, and this in vain. in the end, they could not phony up enough votes from milwaukie to help carry the state.
the proof? (somebody always wants proof, don't they.)
after being blacked out, wayne county/milwaukie finally got the ballots counted. wisconsin fell around 3,000 votes shy for hillary. and, finally the election officials in wisconsin, good democrats all, had to declare the state for trump, much to their evident disgust.
the clinton campaign had misjudged how many votes they were gonna have to phony up to prevail. hey, friends, this takes preparation and logistics. you have to print the phony documents, and provide the phony names and addresses, and you have to have the delivery trucks lined up in advance, and the right guys, e.g., election officials, to toss them into the trucks.
they so believed their own polls, they didn't think they would need this, and they fell short. (you don't trust me? well, read the detroit free press account of the election, as it ran from the opening of the polls until the counter had to give up counting ... and, you will see about wayne county, and the 2 to 3 hours it just stopped reporting, and went dark. no a phone call? what do you think they were doing, watching the packers?)
oh, yeah, proof?
well, i wasn't there. i was here, watching cows & chickens & talking to people about the fall slaughter of pigs. but, wisconsin went to trump by less than 1/2%, which is sort of a mandatory minimum for being able to ask for an automatic recount, .... , another activity rife with fraud.
the democrats, hillary clinton did not ask for a recount. and, why did they not, with the presidency of the united states at stake, in a state that habitually & dependably goes democrat, by means fair or foul. well, to me, the only logical explanation (one that becomes entirely consistent w/ proof of the surmise) is that the democrats knew that the recount would fall short of establishing a win for hillary, and would reveal the bungled fraud.
let me put it this way? if you want to become president of the united states so badly that it has been a life long obsession (an entirely accurate view of hillary clinton), then you ask for the recount if you think there is any way it can be successful. clinton did not, because she knew it would fail. and, that her 2 or 3 hour chicanery while wayne county/milwaukie went dark, would be revealed in the light of day.
that's proof.
and, finally, we come to the last and biggest blunder, and illegality, was hillary clinton's and barak obama's suggestion to the illegal alien population in the united states that they vote for hillary clinton. this is illegal, and to suggest it is illegal. yet such is the modern leftist's democrat's arrogance and disdain for concerns about violating the law, that the democrats, to include clinton and obama, suggested it openly and further more promised that there could be no enforceable penalty for doing so.
you doubt it. you look it up.
it is now estimated that about 3 or 4 million people, illegal aliens, did precisely that.
hillary thought this would put her over the top. it did not.
the biggest blunder of all was that the clinton campaign did not realize that all the illegal alien votes to be gained this way were in the wrong states, and would be cast in the wrong states. to compound this blunder, they failed to somehow recognize that they would garner those votes in states they were almost foreordained to carry in the first place.
and, that being in the people's paradises of california, oregon and washington .... in los angeles, san francisco, portland, oreon and seattle, washington. and, hillary's own little bit of paradise, new york city, new york. everywhere else in the country the vote between clinton and trump was pretty close, with trump getting the better of the margins. look at the votes in the states i've set out above, and you'll see 65 to 35% splits between clinton and trump which are surreal.
and, they are surreal, because they are plumped in clinton's favor by a massive illegal alien vote.
hillary clinton, the wise old warrior, rigged the vote where it didn't matter, and contributed not one whit to the need to collect the necessary electoral college vote to win the election. at the electoral college.

recently, after victor davis hanson published an article rightfully skewering the head of google, to which i sent a comment which was posted, after i mailed it off google put a prompt on my screen to the direct effect that i lable hanson's emails as spam.
i wrote about this, vigorously.
the next time i tried to submit a comment to hanson's blog, it was not published. no explanation from hanson, no indication i had been blocked from readership.
just now, i sent a comment in to "the view from north central idaho," which i have been reading for some time, and to which i have submitted many comments.

some time ago i got cross threaded w/ daily kos, and the splc, which labeled me a racist. just recently, someone has been going through my entire blog archives, and idex to subject matter posts. i have seen this as "hits" on my list of daily visits. as to the blog indexes, the hits show up as visits to entire pages, 1 through 36 so far, and as indexes to articles, from day one to just very recently.
somebody is fucking with me, and i don't like it very damned much. i suspect that if they can go through my blog posts like this, they can go through who i read and who i submit comments to.
oddly enough, the article that i've been blocked from commenting on at "north idaho" is a post by joe huffman on censorship. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/1585dfe07f91d370 . it details how canada has quickly become a government capable of blocking its citizens from the news.
i am sensitive to this, as the media tried to do the same thing to us with donald trump's campaign, and he figured out how to surmount it.
