well, if you live long enough, you are likely to see some very surprising things. like, say for instance, the head of lebanese hezbollah publicly supporting some said by a conservative candidate for president of the united state.
you gotta admit, that's not something you expect to happen as you ponder the course of world events over your morning coffee.
yet, it happened.--
hasran nasrallah, the head of lebanese hezbollah, says that donald trump is speaking truth when he says that barack obama "founded" isis. he says that obama ran guns to (a formative) isis in syria, when isis joined the fight to knock assad of his perch as ruler of that country.
(i have long maintained that obama/clinton & minions did not put american troops into an effort to protect embassy officials & staff at benghazi, because obama did not want it uncovered that a program to arm assad's opponents w/ a by-back of arms from lybian rebels was going on. such weapons were being run out of benghazi w/ the arms trans-shipped to turkish ports near aleppo, syria. the washington times ran very good stories on that, roundly ignored by the "mass" media assholes.)
this story is from "firewire from the blaze:" [https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#inbox/156899f27baed696]
"donald trump has found at least one person who agrees with his allegation that the u.s. administration founded the islamic state group.
the leader of lebanon’s militant hezbollah group quoted trump at a rally in the country’s south saturday, saying the presidential candidate’s statements were based on facts.
hassan nasrallah says: “this is an american presidential candidate who is saying this. what he says is based on facts and documents.”
trump this week described president barack obama as the the "founder" of i.s. trump later said the claim was intended as sarcasm.
nasrallah, who has sent thousands of his fighters to syria to shore up president bashar assad’s forces, has long claimed that the u.s. helped create and fuel the rise of islamic extremists to destabilize the middle east."

to my mind, this is a very interesting turn of events. like him or detest him, hassan nasrallah is a pretty credible authority on what happens in terrorist circles in the middle east. as in, he ought to know about things like this.
again, if you will remember, guns were being run from lybia to turkey and trans-shipped to syria, and very soon after the washington times broke this story, syrian helicopters were shot down by ground to air missiles in and around aleppo, about 20 minutes drive to the turkish border, near where the arms were being shipped.
isis was a minor player when this started. who could have suspected that it would grow to dominate the scene in syria and iraq. one has to give barack obama some slack for not being able to see this. but, on the other hand, in the middle east, one can hardly claim surprise that such things can and do happen.
it looks like trump can expect an apology from the mainstream media. like, you know, when pigs fly.
