i had two secretaries at the prosecutor's office tell me quite confidently, over coffee, "that once you've tried black, you ain't going back."   as a matter of "historical fact," they were both hispanic women, and spoke from personal experience.

 

i don't know.  i don't care.

 

but, there is something i do care about, and as long as i am making friends w/ these posts, i may as well speak it.   and, it is truth.

 

black men have to take the focus off using their endowments for pleasure, and take on the responsibility of raising the children they so ably sire.  that means that they have to family up, they have to keep a home and family, and they have to accept the responsibility of raising their children properly.

 

it is painfully evident to anyone with brains in his or her head that the young black males who kill and the young black males who are being killed don't have any parenting from a male in a family.   they are being raised by "mamas," who notoriously excuse their behavior, and they are pitifully lacking the influences of "papas" who might discipline them into proper behavior.   and by that, i mean behavior which will curb their murderous inclinations, and which will mold civilized behavior.

 

it isn't happening.

 

black "fathers" just blow on down the road, and are absentee fathers at best, and, at worst, ... , well, we are seeing what the worst is, and it is the present pathetic state of the black community in america.   it has resulted in a black community that is mired in the social welfare state, and it has resulted in a community that remains just there until it lifts itself out of that condition by steady employment, and stable families.

 

otherwise, black males are just blowing down the road.   begetting children to whom they are eternal strangers.   in the words of jj cale's song, "i ain't got me nobody  ...  i ain't carrying me no load."

 

indeed.

p.s.  no amount of demonstrating, or neighborhood destroying riot, will change the above facts, nor will any government yet conceived.   it has to be the black community.    it is their responsibility, and no one else's.   period.
