it is 6.30 pm in northeast oregon, and we are getting the first reports of the terror attacks in paris, france. (indeed, we are not yet certain that such attacks are limited to paris.)
they are regrettable, to say the least.
but, something must be remembered in all of this, and it is historical context, and historical fact.
the salient fact is the support and aid that the european left has lent muslim violence, this support ranging from diplomatic support, to financial support through the united nations, the euro union, and individual states, to include most in western europe and the united states. the chief recipient of this aid has been palestine, in the guises of gaza and the west bank, whose entire economies are subsidized by europe and the united nations. the u.n. employees an enormous number of arab muslims in palestine, and food and "humanitarian" subsidies are enormous, to include food stuffs, and weapons. in several instances u.s. and western european entities have gone so far as to provide military training to arab/muslim troops, the dubious utility of such demonstrated by their immediate defection to isis, al queda and others when "deployed" by western interests.
stupid is, as stupid does.
surely, however, these attacks demonstrate that islamic terrorism, and arab/muslims, are very much inclined to bite the very hand that feeds them. france has been at the fore front of promoting islamic and arab interests, and has sought to provide diplomatic and legal protection to the arab world. it has given enormous sums of money to the very entities that attacked it tonight, hoping that others catch it in the neck from terrorism.
this night, it did them no good. french patronage and good will did nothing to prevent these vicious attacks on french soil, and in the heart of french neighborhoods.
and, other nights, it will do them no good. for, the arabs and muslims who serve as surrogates of the french and euro left will attack and kill europeans again. and, again. and, again. and, again. all the kowtowing, all the supplication, all the money in the world did not buy the french one second's worth of immunity, and it will not.
the have been, they are, and they will remain under attack until they defend themselves.
there is one lesson to be learned from this. and, that is, if this is to be prevented, islamic and muslim terrorists have to be exterminated to be stopped. it is as simple as that.
