why do not the nattering nabobs of negativity who run the national news media discuss this incident, in which an armed citizen came to the aid of a police officer, killing the officer's attacker.
update: reported here, in a very thorough report the likes of which you will never read in any newspaper, nor hear on any broadcast. "journalists" don't work this hard to find truth. http://www.theshootist.net/2009/01/one-man-got-involved-perry_12.html . and, please note, that i did not ferret these circumstances out. the honor belongs to a reader, and a grateful "hat tip" to "bill," who provided the link in a comment to this post. and, my thanks to bill, as well. end update, 03.16.2013.
well, the short response is, that to do so would not promote their leftist agenda to disarm law abiding citizens, and would not promote the interests of obama and his gang of thugs to render us impotent before his transgressions.
please follow the link. it is an incredible story. of a very determined man who stepped up to difficult circumstances. and, who was by all appearances, a very good shot, to boot.
http://www.wafb.com/Global/story.asp?S=4527526 . the story of a bystander who came to the aid of an officer under siege is reported by jim shannon, channel 9, station wafb, a web affiliate of the big all seeing eye. i cannot garner much more from the web site. i cannot tell much more than that from the story, the classic elements of "who, where, what, when & why" not appearing with much prominence in the story.

p.s. time to go. oregon plays utah in the pac-12 tourney, and i don't want to miss any more of it than i have already.
It happened in the South which is not news unless the reporter can mention racism.
