... islam, prepare to be tatooed.
gentle reader, in the next several days i am going to introduce you to mr. david kopel, who is one of those genuinely bright guys that you run into occasionally. no, we have never met personally, and if he dropped off the ceiling and landed in my lap i would not know him, ... , but, i have read him, as they say, and he is worthy of your consideration and your read.
he is, or was at the time i first came upon one of his articles, research director, independence institute, golden, colorado; adjunct professor, university of colorado at denver, 2005; adjunct professor, new york university school of law, 1998-99; j.d. university of michigan 1985; b.a. brown university, 1982.
let me say, just in passing, that i attempted entry at the university of michigan school of law but the school would have none of it. probably a godsend for both of us. so, we have something in common, mr. kopel and i: we both probably think that he is smarter than me, and we are both probably quite right.
i am gonna give you a light lunch in next few hours, and just print in full an article he wrote in a popular publication. tomorrow, the next day maybe, we are gonna dine on an 8-course meal. i am gonna tear into another publication this afternoon, and we will discuss it on the morrow. the good lord willing and the creek don't rise.
i will publish the link to the longer piece late this evening, just to cover, in case i should expire this night. hey, stuff happens. laughing.
well, to work.
