robert woodward has always struck me as something of a girly man, so i wasn't too surprised to see him complaining in public about the way some lower echelon operative of the clinton obama white house "threatened" him. (no, it wasn't much of a threat. something to which a girly man would take offense.)
to see woodward acting like an aged dowager defending her status in the manor house, taking umbrage at the insult, was pretty funny. but, in character.
i was absolutely astounded, however, when woodward more or less confirmed that he is nothing more or less than a limp noodled tool of the obama white house, and on national television. he tried to convey his indignation that a mere political operative could try to intimidate him, bob woodward, national icon and institution of journalistic integrity, ... , and then he gave the whole game away.
woodward said something to the effect, that he was sure that barack obama was not behind and did not instigate or instruct some low level functionary, some bottom feeder, to try and intimidate him, robert woodward. for, you see, obama would never do something like that.
well, just who did he think instructed the operative to kick the old dowager in the butt while she stood at the butter dish, ladling the fat on a biscuit? and, instead of being capable of showing some genuine outrage at his treatment, at the treatment of "journalism," he was the ever slavishly praiseful toady.
the lap dog.
the limp noodled tool. trying to posture that journalism was threatened, but, confirming that he, that he, is ever ready to give obama head to be in service of the obama leftist agenda.
independent journalist? my ass.
sickening. funny. revealing. and, a true & insightful interpretation of events, here on the back porch of my little house in north eastern oregon.

Bingo! Somebody in the conservative blogosphere finally points this out. Reminds me of how the Germans were able to tolerate der fuehrer in their own minds by asserting that if he only knew what was being done in his name he would surely put a stop to it.
