politicians and rich, influential people have guns. diane feinstein, chuch schumer, the famous columnist who is against guns but somehow managed to shoot an unarmed burglar, ... , they all have guns. (carl rowan shot a kid for getting in his pool. they don't want you swimming in their pools?)
politicians and rich, influential people have guns because they say that they need them to protect themselves from people who will do them harm.
they don't want you to have guns.
why?
who are they afraid of?
they are afraid of you.
they are afraid that if you have guns that you will harm them with them, because they are displeased about: the way they run the country; their wealth, and the way they flaunt it in times of want for the rest of us; and, they are afraid that they will be harmed by you because they try to restrain your freedom, liberty, political expression and your legal rights.
and, well they should be afraid, because their incompetence, greed, corruption, wanton waste of the u.s. treasury, and political repression of your political participation in your own governance has caused you to be very angry with them.
although they are stupid, they are not that stupid, and they know this. this is why they are deathly afraid of you, because with guns your violence could unseat them from position and power, and you might even kill some of them because of the wrath and displeasure they have inspired & caused in you.
that's why they don't want you to have guns.
actually, i think it very healthy that you have guns for the very reasons i have discussed. i think it is only just and proper that they are afraid of you for those reasons, because they deserve to be afraid of you for the way they have behaved, and the way they have governed.
the idiot obama and his minions have robbed the middle class of its wealth, and given it to their cronies and lackeysand constituents, who, by the way, know exactly what obama has done and is doing. you think the housing scandal, the bailouts, the scabrous loans to failed businesses, ... , you think that accidental?

that is why the politicians don't want you to have guns. it is because they are deathly afraid of you, and your emotions, and you potential to wrath if inspired to wrath.
it is good and proper that they should be afraid of you, afraid that you will tip over the apple cart of their privilege.
it is well and good that you should have guns, and do this, if you feel it justified.

p.s. there, is it all clear now, citizens? they fear you. more precisely put, they are scared shitless of you. they could not care less that you kill each other on occasion. what they fear is that those weapons be turned upon them. and, they don't much care for people like me who express themselves like this, not very damned much, they don't.
they know that violent crime has gone down for the last 20 years, that the "murder rate" is half of what it was in the not too distant past. they don't care about that, except to the extent, that some day they very well make be deserving targets.
because of what they have done to us, they are afraid of what we will do to them.
