at glenn beck's shop, "arms shipments ... ended up in the hands of islamic militants," http://www.theblaze.com/stories/new-york-times-arms-shipments-secretly-approved-by-obama-admin-ended-up-in-hands-of-islamic-militants/ .
update, 12.07.2012: a really superior article & analysis at "freedom outpost," entitled, "did the obama administration arm to the teeth the benghazi terrorists?" (well, yes, in my opinion.) http://freedomoutpost.com/2012/12/did-the-obama-administration-arm-to-the-teeth-the-benghazi-terrorists/ .
in addition to addressing the question in the title, the article very skillfully sets out the twisting path of lies indulged in by the obama administration as it tries to find its path from the wilderness, into which it has cast itself. oh, what a tangled web we weave ... .
a superior read. end update.
the article quoted at "the blaze" is from the new york times, and it says that arms shipped to libyan rebels via quatar were ending up in the hands of "militants." "militants" is spelled, "al queda." http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/06/world/africa/weapons-sent-to-libyan-rebels-with-us-approval-fell-into-islamist-hands.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1&hp& .
the money line of the article says this:
"no evidence has surfaced that any weapons went to ansar al-shariah, an extremist group blamed for the benghazi attack."
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/06/world/africa/weapons-sent-to-libyan-rebels-with-us-approval-fell-into-islamist-hands.html?pagewanted=2&_r=1&hp
this is, of course, the backwards way of saying that no evidence exists to show that those who carried out the attack on the benghazi embassy, in which ambassador stevens and three others were killed, were not armed with the very weapons approved for shipment by the united states. in other words, nothing excludes the possibility that the american embassy was destroyed by weapons provided by the obama administration to libyan "militants," nor that those responsible for killing ambassador stevens were not armed with those weapons.
and, ... , the name of the group that carried out the attack on benghazi, "ansar al-sharia." odd, that the new york times knows that now, but, did not know it before the election.
the point of this update?
do you really have any reason to doubt the assertion that the united states was running guns to the syrian "rebels" out of libya when ambassador stevens and his aide, and the two navy seals, were killed?
once a gun runner, twice a gun runner, three times a gun runner, ... , always a gun runner. barack hussein obama.
john jay @ 12.06.2012
p.s. no mention of the role chris stevens, working for the state department, might have had in arranging the shipment of arms to the libyan opposition, and to the various "al queda" elements within that "opposition."
i betcha the new york times knows, and i betcha the new york times ain't saying. any takers on a five spot?
