the west does this by restoring its religious observance, and belief.
it goes to church, it supports the churches financially, and it is devout and fervent in its religious impulse.
simple as that.

p.s. yes, i am fully aware that religion is the "opiate of the masses." i am also 64 years old, with heart disease, probably not very long for this bone yard. i have also observed, for the past 50 years or so, the terror of ideology as applied by zealots, ... , power is the opiate of the ruling classes. it is also death, as the zealots know of no other way to impose that power.
i openly choose religion. belief makes more sense, it is possessed of more rationality and restraint, and beauty, than mere reason can ever marshal. ever.
