having done everything possible to discredit the only source that might counter their new meme, the obama administration advances susan rice to test the waters.
she is saying that her remarks some five days after benghazi were premised solely on intel provided to her. "i relied 'solely and squarely' ..." on intel "... provided by the intelligence community ..." she is saying. http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/21/15344537-susan-rice-i-relied-solely-and-squarely-on-intel-given-to-me-for-benghazi-comments?lite .
you will note that she is not (apparently, such as i can glean from the nbc news article) specifying which intelligence agency provided her with that information.
democratic senator carl levin, chairman of the senate armed services committee, said that rice had been using " ... unclassified talking points ..." prepared by the "intelligence community." http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/11/21/15344537-susan-rice-i-relied-solely-and-squarely-on-intel-given-to-me-for-benghazi-comments?lite .
so, the obama administration is going to "defend" the administration's performance in all of this by insisting that a full five days after stevens was killed, the government's "intelligence community" did not know what the hell happened.
that president obama did not tell them that he knew it was an al queda attack hours after it began? while it was being filmed by a drone? after the president of libya told the administration's "intelligence community" what had happened?
the administration's meme is apparently going to be, "it's their fault."
i guess george bush is out of the question.
how credulous is the media going to be? laughing. plenty enough, i should expect. no hot water from them.
something this silly suggests that obama and minions are pretty sure they've weathered the storm, what little of it they anticipate. no hurricane sandy here.
