khaled elgindy, writing as a special correspondent to c.n.n., writes in favor of a negotiated peace between abbas, hamas and israel to extricate the parties from "a circle of violence" scenario. and, he does this just as though he means it.
dy-gaza/index.html?eref=mrss_igoogle_cnn . "how this could be the last gaza war."
he speaks gibberish.
he wants a "peace" in which israel makes concessions to hamas and abbas. yet, this "peace" does not recognize the right of israel to exist as a state, and as a state which is the homeland of the jews. i have said this before. there is not much point in repeating or analysing it at length here.
and, that is not really what i want to talk about, nor the point i want to make.
what i want to point out is that you have to read this double talk claptrap carefully, in order to understand who it is and what it is that you are reading, and whether it can be given the slightest credence.
this elgindy fellow poses as a man of peace.
he is not.
read this passage:
despite the strong ties between the muslim brotherhood-led government in cairo and hamas, itself a brotherhood offshoot, the egyptians are unhappy with hamas' moves in both gaza and the sinai.
for any truce to hold, it must also include other stakeholders, namely palestinian authority president mahmoud abbas. hamas is likely to emerge from this most recent conflict militarily weakened but politically strengthened, earning the respect and sympathy of both palestinians and arabs across the region.
for abbas, however, the opposite is true. the crisis has highlighted his powerlessness and growing irrelevance, even sparking new anti-abbas protests in the west bank. abbas and his fatah-dominated leadership in the west bank have little to show for their rule except 20 years of failed negotiations and a feckless and bankrupt authority. but the fact that egypt is also the primary mediator in internal palestinian talks aimed at healing the split that has crippled the palestinian authority since the brief civil war of 2007 presents an opportunity to rehabilitate abbas while reining in hamas.
"how this could be the last gaza war," http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/20/opinion/elgindy-gaza/index.html?eref=mrss_igoogle_cnn .
this passage reveals elgindy for what he is, and that is a hamas mouth piece, a hamas partisan. keep in mind, that hamas and abbas kill each other with as much frequency and hatred as they exhibit for israel.
and, keep in mind something else.
the charter of hamas calls for the destruction of israel. there can be "no last gaza war" as long as hamas, abbas and hezbollah call for the destruction of israel.
in other words, elgindy promotes "peace" even as he is sworn to war as a hamas operative. in short, what elgindy is doing here is not advancing "peace" as he is sworn to everything but, when it comes to israel and the united states. what the slimy bastard is really doing is promoting a "cease fire," to try and pull hamas's butt from out of the inferno it has called upon itself. elsewhere in his article elgindy rather facilely lets it drips from his ink pen that if israel destroys or attempts to destroy hamas it will just bend their will in an effort to rebuild to attack israel again. well, this sounds a reasonable observation. but, it has a hollow ring to it, when you realize that hamas and abbas are sworn to destroy israel in the first instance. as long as hamas and abbas are sworn to do this, nothing, absolutely nothing that israel does will dissuade hamas and abbas from trying to destroy it.
and, from waging war, aggression and provocation at every turn. as, quite naturally, as they do, as they have done, and as they ever will do.
and, until they give that position up, there is no peace. ever.
in short, khaled elgindy is a fraud. no other conclusion can be drawn.
if you met khaled elgindy at a cocktail party in manhattan, he would try to charm your socks off, to promote islam, "palestine," and to get money to subsidize his efforts. if you met him over a camp fire in afghanistan, your hand tied behind your back, he would cut your heart out with a dull spoon.
you must understand what these bastards say, when they ooze charm out their pores. it is really venom.
