so nice that a hamas official would be so concerned about the welfare of israel and its prime minister. too bad they are not so solicitous of israeli interests when it comes to rocket attacks on her citizens.
and i thought that hamas was ready to fight anytime anywhere. instead, they are begging israel not to attack, and still trying to posture like the tough guys they would like to be. murderers, thugs, rapists and sadistic brutes, yes. tough, no.
and smart enough to know that if israel brings in armor and ground troops like the last time, then hamas and its iranian advisers will get the living shit kicked out of them. well, let me curtail the use of polemic for just a bit, and say it in a straight forward manner. what israel will do, just as it did with hezbollah, is to kill those of hamas who stand and fight, and by so doing will annihilate its most zealous cadres, and its most capable fighters. only those who turn from the fight against professional infantry and armor will live to lie about their "bravery." and, to enforce their rule and prestige among their fellow "palestinians" by the time honored arab/islamic techniques mentioned above, that being murder, thuggery, rape and sadism. against defenseless persons, by the way. always.
survival of the beasts, as it were.
i have been saying for years that israel has absolutely destroyed the cadres of hezbollah and hamas every time she has fought them. were it otherwise, were the agitprop bleating of the arabic poseurs of any substance, were they actually capable of standing and fighting against israeli attack, they would be begging for it.
they would join it. instead, they shrink from what they have provoked. he who turns and runs away, lives to pose, another day ... .
instead, they cower, and bleat for the west to intervene and save them from the fight that they initiated and instigated with their rocket assaults.
my sincerest hope is that israel goes in with ground forces, and kills hamas operatives and cadres by the droves. i also hope that when israel has them cornered, that she goes in and finishes the job, instead of letting the bastards off the ropes one more time. i know that in so doing israel will absorb infantry casualties, and i know that israel abhors this. but, surely, surely, someone must realize at some level of government and military operations, that to let some hamas fighters escape the fate they so richly deserve is just to expose israel to another round of this nonsense about 5 or 6 years down the road.
kill them now. kill them before the rats go over the ship, and seek the safety of the sea. and, if it takes collateral damage to do it, then so be it, as hamas has sought the protection of innocents to perpetuate evil. the death of arab civilians is on them, and not on israel.
to not do so at this point, to not attack men instead of machines, (again), is to perpetuate the doctrine of "free war" that has been extended to the arabs/muslims, and to ensure that no real strategic and tactical damage is done to them for starting the war. it is, in fact, to let the arabs wage war for "free," as what they have suffered for their transgressions to this point really amounts to nothing. israel always stops killing them right at the point where she might in fact destroy their ability to fight: i hope this does not happen again.
if so, it will all happen again. and, again. and, again. as long as the arabs get to fight "free war."

p.s. if arabs were half as good at fighting as they are at puffing out their chests before the cameras, they might be a force to contend with. if theatre were war, they would be great.
but, they are not. they are blowhard bullies, and they vanish before genuine battle. i have always taken great satisfaction in the truth of seeing able bodied "warriors" piling into red cross vans as they flee the battlefield, no better confirmation of their abject cowardice could ever be recorded.
yes, they are cold blooded murderers and killers before the camera with bound captives, but they are abject cowards in close quarters battle. as it has been, and it is, and as it ever shall be.
