i watched the debate. [i practiced law for 25 years, a whole bunch of it, oral & written advocacy. people said i was pretty good at it. by any standard of argument, proof, persuasion and bearing, mitt romney won this debate hands down.]
romney kicked butt. plain and simple.
sometimes obama was so desperate for something to say in rebuttal that he simply sputtered and stammered. every now and again he would make a point, only to have romney turn it aside.
i see cbs calls obama the winner. all i can say is, what damned dipshits. and, that they are deluded propagandists for the democratic national committee. you want an evaluation on this debate? count the democrats running elsewhere for election, and see how many of them invite obama in for a boost.
but, if you haven't already, you watch the debate and decide for yourself as to the victor.
2nd update, & important, 10.23.2012: this involves one of those swing states in the ohio valley. and, according to cbs, (which fact is not being exactly trumpeted by them, but, they did broadcast it, which goes in their favor .... ), a focus group of ohio voters thought mitt romney clearly prevailed.) hat tip theo spark, which is where i spotted the link to the article. www.theospark.net .

p.s. romney was poised, articulate and forceful. often obama appeared simply speechless. romney looked presidential, obama was petty. and, as brit hume and chris wallace pointed out, romney's memory is far more accurate than obama's. on those points where obama questioned romney's honesty, hume and wallace set the obama camp straight.
not a draw. not even close. romney kicked ass. and, the polls will reflect it. no matter how strongly the pollster try to skew it to obama.
if this thing comes to a fight, i don't think that we can forgive the media for their sins. no amnesty or forgiveness. ever.
