with regard to the behavior of the marines pissing on a bunch of dead bodies.--
this has been branded as a major breach of decorum on the part of combat soldiers.
i find the fixation on the pissing aspect of all of this rather odd, and a bit fascinating, because in all of this no one has taken the time to note that combat is not very decorous, and the act of shooting & killing enemy combatants and stacking them in piles not very decorous, either.
in my view of things it is far more an indignity to get killed than to be pissed on.
but, if the talibani find being pissed on after they've been killed somehow the greater indignity, ... , well, then, good. it gladdens me to see that the marines were able to inflict some further indignity & insult upon the talibani they had just killed, under the heading of "no stone unturned."
it is good to be thorough in these matters.
as for me, i have not forgotten the little matter of people leaping to their deaths from the twin towers to avoid immolation, a little indignity inflicted upon this country under the joint auspices of the taliban and al queda. or, the little matter of charred and dismember bodies being drug through the street by celebrant jihadists. or, heads being cut off of live journalists, as one would slaughter a sheep.
fuck 'em. just fuck the murderous, scurrilous bastards. they had it coming, and by my lights, they've got a little more to deal with, as time goes by. they've inflicted a lot more indignity upon defenseless innocents the world over in indiscriminate slaughter, calculated to offend, than they've suffered, and i for one relish the notion of the scales being balanced.
praise the lord and pass the ammunition. god bless the marines.
