folks, the problem with mohammed as prophet and god as one who will "substitute" revelation as he sees fit, really is pretty simple.
and, as you may suspect, i am not very interested in "islam's reconciliation" of the issue, because i think that islam does not meet the issue. (islam lies and dissembles, on this and many other things, imho. "the old soft shoe" routine, as it were.)
it comes down to this.--
"if mo don't know, then islam don't go."
1.)if mo is in on the scheme, he lies when he says a revelation is final, because he knows it is to be revised.
2.)if mo is not in on the scheme, and he does not know that the revelation is to be substituted, he preaches falsehood when he preaches.
it really pretty simple, and it is as simple as that, and all the bloviation in the world is not going to change it. god's choice to "substitute" revelation introduces error in the process precisely at the point of mohammed spreading falsehood or lying about finality. period.
