the articles are a bit muddled, and somewhat at variance.--

the msnbc article describes a situation in which muslims believed that the church and a coptic priest abducted the priest's wife the protester's believed had converted to islam.  the article goes on to state that the riot started when muslims showed up at the church to free a christian woman supposedly held inside because she had married a muslim.

the cnn article recites that the violence started upon muslims hearing that a christian woman who had married a muslim man was being held inside the church.  

at any rate, according to cnn, a mob gathered before the st. mena coptic orthodox church and gunshots rang out, perhaps from nearby rooftops.

cnn reports that a fire broke out in a nearby church identified in that article as the st. virgin mary's coptic orthodox church.  msnbc also reports a coptic church set ablaze, but does not name it, nor does it state that clashes occurred at two churches: msnbc simply says a mob gathered out "the church" in a western cairo neighborhood described only as the imbaba.

what is clear is that people have died, and many are injured, and at least one perhaps two coptic churches have been set ablaze.

it is also clear from the reporting that the muslim mobs always have a clever slogan at hand when they kill and burn, and equally established from pictures of a church burning that despite as many as 6 to 8 deaths in the violence the muslim hordes were in a celebratory and festive mood.  a coptic church burned, perhaps several christians killed, and some more martyrs for the cause on their side, ... , it apparently beats reruns of the local football side in action last fall.

hey, by all means, let us bring them to the united states by ship and plane and suction tubes, and scotty beaming a bunch of the bastards aboard.  let us fill your neighborhood up with entire somali villages, pirates, fisherman and al queda alike.  as the imbaba neighborhood proves, the more the merrier.
