the lie that is “moderate islam.”

 

this from reader “dave in dallas,” in a comment on my recent post regarding pamela geller and her blog, atlas shrugs, http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com:

 

the one religion that will not, ever, live in peace with others is islam. the word means "submission" or "surrender". i hear lots of chatter about how the radical elements are small and on the fringe, and that most muslims love peace.

 

if that were true, we would hear many public calls for the radicals to abandon their terrorism, and many public APOLOGIES from the peace lovers for the destruction wrought in the name of islam. they would feel badly about it, as we christians are constantly encouraged to feel badly about the crusades and the inquisition. but they don't. islam does not speak against terrorism and jihad. islam does not DISAGREE with it, and the few muslims who do are the ACTUAL fringe elements.

 

these words are well spoken, well chosen, and very accurate.

 

as a matter of fact we see almost no disavowal of the acts of jihad terrorism at any level in islam, whether it is in the great university schools of religion, or from clerics, or from imams, or from jihad front organizations such as c.a.i.r.   and, most certainly, we hear no words of condemnation from such organizations as the muslim brotherhood, or the council of islamic states.

 

the silence on this matter is, as they say, quite deafening.

 

but, as accurate as dave in dallas’s observations are on this matter, he speaks only the partial truth, goes only so far.  going only so far, it leaves more to be said, more truth to be revealed.  and the lie of moderate islam is only fully revealed & comprehended by an extension of that analysis, by looking at additional truth.

 

the rest of the truth is on the other side of the coin, as the saying goes.  where islam reveals its true face.  and, where the lie of “moderate islam,” and “moderate muslims” is exposed in all its falsity.

 

the rest of the truth is, almost all acts of jihad terror receive prior approval from muslim clerics before their commission, in one form or another.  no jihad terror takes places without the imprimatur of approval from islam as an institution.

 

and, then, as dave in dallasso accurately notes, no disapproval or disavowal of jihadist terrorist acts issues forth anywhere from islam, as an institution, and as a theological hierarchy.

this prior approval of islam comes in several forms.—

 

in the call to jihad by clerics of the highest rank in islam.

 

by instruction from imams and the like to the faithful at the mosques, as the instruction received in the virginia mosque by malik nadal hasan before he launched his attacks on his fellow soldiers in fort hood, texas from the notorious american born yemeni imam who has fled to his homeland.  where, not coincidentally, he has issued forth pronouncements instructing the faithful to kill all americans.

 

and, it comes in approval of islamic clerics in approval of the operational details of missions undertaken by jihadi operatives.

 

all of this is centered in the mosque, and spewed forth and broadcast over the internet.

 

and, it is prior approval of acts of violence of the most atrocious, most perverted, and most heinous to be committed by muslims against their victims.

 

there is one further posture of islam that makes jihad terror so reprehensible, and renders islam absolutely immoral and unethical in pursuit of its dominance.

 

and that is, islam grants its adherents absolutely carte blanche in the barbarity of its actions against non-believers, by a very simply theological expedient.  it publishes or exacts absolutely no restraint upon the faithful in their actions against the non-believers.  by the way, if you haven’t figured it out just yet, “non-believer” means you and i, and all who read this who are not islamic.

 

all other religions and societies proscribe certain acts as immoral by their followers, no matter who exacted upon.  the focus is upon the restraint and discipline of the person in his actions, and morality is concerned with the individual’s behavior.

 

not so islam.

 

if the act is performed against a non-believer, it is not viewed as immoral, and if it advances the cause of islam, it is a blessed act, no matter how barbaric.

 

thus we have a most startling example in the atrocity performed upon the persons of a rabbi and his pregnant wife in the recent massacre at mumbai, india.  this rabbi and his wife were tortured, sexually violated and raped, and their genitalia mutilated and carved and ripped from their bodies in acts of ferocity and barbarity not seen since the worst days of nazi camps and medical experimentation.

 

approved beforehand.

 

encouraged in the perpetrators by their handlers as it happened, to show no human mercy.

 

and, met with resounding silence after the fact, by the entire religious and theological structure of islam after it occurred.

 

friends, this is a savage and debased and debauched and immoral perversion of religious impulse, and as immoral and godless as any system could ever be conceived or built.

 

it is, in a phrase, entirely evil.

 

we must oppose this perversion with all our resource, conviction, and might even unto the extent of combat, even unto the extent of death in such battle, to prevent this monstrous perversion from conquering the west, and from the political and social conquest of the united states of america.
